EASY HOMEMADE SALSA
Since Cinco De Mayo is only a couple days away, I wanted to share this easy & refreshing homemade salsa recipe! It’s flavorful, super easy to make & makes enough to feed a crowd! This recipe yields about 5 cups!
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe tomatoes (cored & cut into quarters)
- 1 red onion (peeled & cut into quarters)
- 3 cloves garlic (peeled)
- 1/3 cup fresh cilantro
- 3 jalapeƱos (seeded & stemmed)
- 3 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1/4-1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 2-3 tsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 15 oz can crushed tomatoes (Tuttorosso)
- 4.5 oz can diced green chiles (I used mild, but you can use medium or hot if your prefer)
Directions:
- In your food processor place in tomatoes, cilantro, red onion, jalapeƱos, garlic & seasonings
- Pulse until combined
- Add in your can of crushed tomatoes, green chiles, and lime juice
- Pulse until well combined
- Pour salsa into your serving dish & refrigerate until ready to serve
- Serve alongside tortilla chips or anything else you’d like & enjoy!
