MINI CAPRESE SLIDERS
When I was younger my mom always made a classic caprese salad to have as a side with dinner! You can never go wrong with a caprese sandwich, so these individual warm caprese sliders are the perfect addition to any party to have as an appetizer or to eat as a meal! You can bake them for longer if you want the cheese to be a little more “melty”, but I prefer mine on the not so “melty” side! I also love drizzling some balsamic glaze on these before adding the top halves of the rolls!
Ingredients:
- 12 pack Kings Hawaiian Rolls
- Fresh mozzarella (sliced)
- Sliced Campari tomatoes
- 2-3 tbsp basil pesto sauce (I used store bought, but you can use homemade)
- Fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp melted butter or EVOO
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp dried parsley
Directions:
- Slice your Hawaiian rolls in half (as evenly as you can lol)
- Spray your baking dish with nonstick spray and place the bottom half of your rolls in
- Spread on your pesto sauce, top with sliced mozzarella, tomatoes & fresh basil! Note: you can also drizzle some balsamic glaze!
- In a small bowl combine butter or EVOO, garlic powder & dried parsley
- Place the top halves of your rolls on top and brush your garlic butter mixture on
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 min more or less depending on how melty you want your cheese!
This recipe can also easily be doubled if you’d like!
