BAKED CHILI CHEESE DOG CASSEROLE
I’ve always loved chili cheese dogs in the summertime! It’s a classic comfort food that is tasty & delicious! This 4-ingredient baked chili cheese dog casserole is the perfect meal enjoy during the busy weeknight or to bring as a dish to your next bbq gathering! You can double this recipe if you’re feeding a larger crowd, but the recipe below yields 8 servings.
Ingredients:
- 8 oz can Pillsbury crescent dough sheet
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 package (8 hotdogs) Nathan’s Hot dogs (or your favorite kind!)
- 2 (15oz) cans Hormel Chili with beans (or you can use homemade chili if you prefer!)
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees
- Unroll your crescent dough sheet and separate your triangle pieces of dough
- Sprinkle your shredded cheese on all of them and press down gently with the back of a spoon (this helps the cheese stick to the dough & hot dogs while baking)
- Roll up each hot dog in a piece of dough and set aside
- Add in your chili to your 9”x13” baking dish and spread it out evenly
- Evenly place your hot dogs on top of your chili and bake for 35-45 min more or less! As soon as your crescent dough really starts to get golden brown about halfway through baking, loosely place a piece of foil on top of your baking dish so the tops of the rolls don’t burn, while the bottom continues to cook! *Note: baking time may vary from oven to oven*
- Remove from oven once done baking
- Serve alongside your other favorites sides such as corn salad, fries, potato/macaroni salad, baked mac n cheese, etc!
