CROCK POT SLOPPY JOES
I made these for Johnny & I the other night and they were a 10/10! So easy and simple! You can definitely do these in a skillet as well if you don’t have a slow cooker, but I love making this in one if you have it because it really emphasizes all the flavors and brings it together nicely!
Ingredients:
- 1.5 lb ground beef (I used the leanest one)
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- Salt & pepper to season ground beef (however much you prefer)
- 16 oz tomato sauce (I used homemade but you can use store bought)
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tsp yellow mustard
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Fresh buns for serving
- Optional: cheese
Directions:
- In your pan add oil, ground beef, salt & pepper
- Cook until meat is browned
- Add your cooked ground beef into your crock pot
- Add in the rest of your seasonings, brown sugar, tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard & Worcestershire sauce
- Stir well to combine ingredients
- Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally
- Note: cooking times may vary depending on size of crock pot
- Serve on your buns and top with cheese if you’d like
- Serve with any of your favorite sides! I served ours with mashed potatoes & Mac n cheese
