CROCK POT SLOPPY JOES

I made these for Johnny & I the other night and they were a 10/10! So easy and simple! You can definitely do these in a skillet as well if you don’t have a slow cooker, but I love making this in one if you have it because it really emphasizes all the flavors and brings it together nicely!

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 lb ground beef (I used the leanest one)
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • Salt & pepper to season ground beef (however much you prefer)
  • 16 oz tomato sauce (I used homemade but you can use store bought)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tsp yellow mustard
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Fresh buns for serving
  • Optional: cheese
Directions:
  1. In your pan add oil, ground beef, salt & pepper
  2. Cook until meat is browned
  3. Add your cooked ground beef into your crock pot
  4. Add in the rest of your seasonings, brown sugar, tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard & Worcestershire sauce
  5. Stir well to combine ingredients
  6. Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally
  7. Note: cooking times may vary depending on size of crock pot
  8. Serve on your buns and top with cheese if you’d like
  9. Serve with any of your favorite sides! I served ours with mashed potatoes & Mac n cheese
