CROCK POT HOT COCOA
Crock Pot Hot Cocoa!
Okay where do I start? Johnny & I went to New Hampshire for the weekend to go snowmobiling, and I knew it was supposed to be a MAJOR cold front! During the day it was -9 or so and at night it was -29 degrees! Despite it being so cold, we had a BLAST! And this crock pot hot cocoa was the cherry on top! It was the perfect treat after a cold day outside!
Ingredients:
- 6 cups whole milk
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Marshmallows & whipped cream for serving
Directions:
- In your crock pot add in 5 cups of milk (set the last cup aside), can of sweetened condensed milk, heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract & chocolate chips
- In a microwave safe bowl, microwave your remaining cup of milk until hot (not boiling) and add in your cocoa powder; stir well to combine
- Add your cocoa milk mixture into your crock pot
- Stir to combine, cover and cook on low for 2 hours. Stir frequently so the chocolate chips melt evenly & don’t burn
- It’s ready once all the chocolate has melted and mixture is hot!
- Ladle into mugs & top with marshmallows & whipped cream!
