BISCUITS & GRAVY CASSEROLE
Biscuits & Gravy Casserole!
Let’s be honest… who doesn’t love this staple southern breakfast! It’s hearty and delicious & this casserole version is perfect for a crowd!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb pork sausage
- 4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup flour
- 4 tbsp salted or unsalted butter (I used salted)
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 package (16.3 oz) of Pillsbury biscuits
Directions:
- Cook your pork sausage in your pan
- Once it’s cooked through, add it to your baking dish
- In the same pan you cooked your sausage in add in your butter and flour to make a roux; whisk until combined
- Add in your seasonings and whisk together
- Slowly whisk in all your milk and simmer mixture until gravy thickens
- Add your gravy over top your pork sausage
- Open your can of biscuits and cut them all into fours
- Place your biscuit pieces evenly on top of your gravy
- Bake at 350 for 30-35 min or until your biscuits are completely cooked & your casserole is hot
- NOTE: If your biscuits are browning too quickly, you can cover with a piece of foil during baking
