BISCUITS & GRAVY CASSEROLE

Biscuits & Gravy Casserole! 
Let’s be honest… who doesn’t love this staple southern breakfast! It’s hearty and delicious & this casserole version is perfect for a crowd! 


Ingredients:
  • 1 lb pork sausage 
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup flour 
  • 4 tbsp salted or unsalted butter (I used salted)
  • 3/4 tsp salt 
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 package (16.3 oz) of Pillsbury biscuits
Directions:
  1. Cook your pork sausage in your pan
  2. Once it’s cooked through, add it to your baking dish 
  3. In the same pan you cooked your sausage in add in your butter and flour to make a roux; whisk until combined 
  4. Add in your seasonings and whisk together 
  5. Slowly whisk in all your milk and simmer mixture until gravy thickens
  6. Add your gravy over top your pork sausage 
  7. Open your can of biscuits and cut them all into fours
  8. Place your biscuit pieces evenly on top of your gravy 
  9. Bake at 350 for 30-35 min or until your biscuits are completely cooked & your casserole is hot
  10. NOTE: If your biscuits are browning too quickly, you can cover with a piece of foil during baking
